I feel bad for Sanjay and Shalini Passi as they love to be on Page3. In fact the Passi couple used to send Rs.25,000 to every Page3 photographer in Delhi on Diwali till few years back. Then I wrote about it in a newspaper and the 25K Diwali Bonanza to shutterbugs stopped. I still get an earful from them. And when it comes to flaunting their friendship with SRK and Gauri, they tactically leak the private pictures to tabloids once SRK leaves. It happened few years back when Passis sent the private pictures to Delhi Times the moment SRK boarded his flight.

But last night Shalini and Sanjay’s phones went unanswered. They didn’t dare to risk offending SRK by sneaking in paparazzi. Imagine their predicament while observing King Khan’s media blackout???

Yes it is confirmed now that Pop Diva and Fashion Muse Lady Gaga is coming to India and performing on the final day of the Formula 1 Racing at the Buddh International Circuit on the 30th of October 2011. JPSI, the constructors and promoters of the Buddh International Circuit and LAP, together announced the creation of an extravagant lounge at the Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort, Greater Noida.

LAP will create a stunning air – conditioned, uber luxurious and decadent set with 22 foot high ceilings yielding surprises at the Jaypee Resort where all the parties will be hosted during the 3-day F1 Circuit in India from 28th to 30th October 2011. At a Press Con Arjun Rampal, AD Singh & Sameer Gaur revealed that the Pop Diva Lady Gaga would be performing at the LAP Buddh Circuit after parties. International DJ Roger Sanchez will perform on Day 1 of the festivities followed by Edward Maya on Day 2 and on the last day Tom Novy will perform before Lady Gaga takes to the stage.

The Formula 1 Racing fever is gripping Delhi-ites or rather the whole nation and Lady Gaga’s performance is definitely going to make it a must see affair. Folks sorry for the delay in coming out with the LISTS. I was waiting to get the names tabulated from the huge number of recommendations that I received from the readers. The LIST is compiled based on the responses I received from the readers so as to eliminate any bias.

First of all let me define a ‘Henpecked Husband’. A typical Henpecked Husband is the poor guy; he squirms under the thumb of a domineering wife, very likely a Grande Dame. Her word is law, and he can only obey, with a meek and humble, “Yes, dear.” We laugh at his misfortune, and maybe pity him a little. From Delhi Robbie Mohan and Amit Burman got the maximum votes.

Robbie Mohan is married to Tanisha Mohan, who is a walking-talking billboard of Luxury Brands. Tanisha definitely wears the pants in the Mohan household and we have often seen Robbie meekly surrendering to his wife’s demands. It is a common sight at Page 3 parties where you can find Robbie holding on to Tanisha’s designer bag and her drink as she floats around schmoozing the crowd. Sharukh Khan slapping Shirish Kunder, husband of almost two decade old SRK’s friend Farah Khan has literally gone viral. There is no doubt about the fact that SRK did give a tight-one on Shirish’s cheek but am not sure wether he was provoked to slap Kunder or not. I was amazed by the report that even Sanjay Dutt gave a tight-one to Shirish Kunder because Kunder had been sending lewd messgaes to Manyata. If that is true why the hell was Shirish Kunder on Sanjay Dutt’s guestlist? Would you invite the person who sends dirty messages to your wife to your party??? I won’t!

Anyways I feel SRK shouldn’t have gone ‘physical’. Stardom is a double-edged sword and a wee-bit Tweet shouldn’t have ruffled Badshah Khan to that extent that he gets physical with Shirish Kunder. SRK’s humility was one of the most loved aspect of him but sorry to say – lately I see SRK losing that humility and showing his ugly arrogant side. His constant jabs on Salman Khan, his tiff with Juhi Chawla for totally ignoring her comatose brother – Bobby, one of the brains behind Ra-One while promoting the movie, his jibes on critics who didn’t have good things to write about Ra-One, his temper flaring everytime a scribe asked him on his relation with Priyanka Chopra and his tiff (though temporary) with Mehr Jessia Rampal because she complained about Arjun Rampal not getting his due credit for Ra-One. It is like if you utter a word against SRK and you face his wrath. This is not how a superstar behaves.

And i wonder why the ‘slapgate’ happened in the loo area. I am sure you know what I am hinting at. Was it the surge of dopamine post the visit to the ‘Powder Room’ that made SRK slap Shirish Kunder??? Shahrukh Khan we loved your humble approach and it is one of the prime factors that has made you King Khan or whatever you love to call yourself. Take criticism in your strides and that is what is expected out of superstars.

Bollywood star – Arjun Rampal owes Rs. 3Crores to ITDC and says he can’t pay. Rampal opened his nightclub, LAP at the Samrat Hotel in August 2009 with much fanfare. Hotel Samrat is a ITDC property and Rampal was leased out the space for LAP at an contractual rent of Rs.33 Lakhs per month.

Arjun Rampal has been defaulting in paying the rent for more than a year and owed Rs. 4.5Crores to ITDC. The most astounding fact is that though being a defaulter, Rampal moved the court seeking exemption from paying rent as his club wasn’t doing good business. What a stupid argument! I mean if your business doesn’t run as expected, can you seek relief from court for fixed overheads? I haven’t heard of such an excuse in my life. A business is calculated risk and if Rampal’s LAP did better than expected, would he had paid double the rent???

Anyway the court run him down and Arjun Rampal had to immediately pay Rs. 1.5 Crores to ITDC. Now the balance Rs. 3Crores Rampal says he cannot pay. In fact Shahrukh Khan was a silent partner in Rampal’s LAP. But post Ra-1 when things between Rampal and SRK soured, Khan withdrew his share from the venture.

It is difficult to believe that Arjun Rampal cannot pay Rs. 3Crores that he owes to ITDC, a government owned organisation. If it’s true than he should declare himself bankrupt. Rampal has no intention to pay and that is the truth and I guess he thinks his star-status can let him have his way.

By the way wonder why Moet & Chandon is having a party at LAP with Nandita Mahtani as the hostess. Does it suit a premium Champagne brand like Moet & Chandon to do a promotional event at a club, which is tainted by its owner’s refusal to pay money owed to government? And then we blame our country while sipping the bubbly that government is corrupt.

I told you it was just an excuse to show tits & legs to the lecherous cricketers and provide entertainment to money-bags who buy 40k tickets for a game. First it was Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna. Next was Abhishek Gupta & Nandita Basu and most recently, it was Namrata Joshipura, who unlike the other two, expressed her angst about the sleaze show disguised as fashion show. Read my second post on it dated 30th March, 2010 (IPL NIghts is all about Sex & Drugs @ http://fashionscandal.com/?p=133). Namrata poured her anger on the Facebook as her status. No sooner the word spread, Mehr Rampal called up Joshipura saying she was upset about her Facebook Status. Namrata, not the one to cow down answered back, “Forget you being upset, I am more upset with that crap – the sleaze show that is passed off as a fashion show.” Later Arjun Rampal called up Rohit Gandhi asking him if he can pursue Namrata Joshipura to take off her outburst on IPL sleaze show from the Facebook.

Well that’s the amount given out from IPL’s exchequer to Mehr Jesia Rampal to host the ‘fashion shows’ at the post match IPL Nights bashes.Guess if you have friends at high places, you can rake in the moolah. Mehr Rampal bagged the deal where IPL didn’t sent out proposal to invite bids. Since IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi is dishing out lucrative contracts to friends and relatives, Rampals thought of encashing too. Rampals are close to SRK and SRK’s closeness to Lalit Modi is known to all. Resultant Mehr Rampal bags a lucrative deal of Rs. 15 Crores. I mean what are her credentials as a show organisor? Yes, she’s a former model and has choreographed few shows but then is that enough? Would she have bagged the deal if bids were entertained from others too?

A huge event like the WIFW costs approximately Rs. 6-7 Crores and it has 130 partcipating designers, 50 plus ramp shows, 130 plus designer stalls, numerous lounges and a huge outlay on tenting facilities. The IPL fashion shows are not paying a dime to the designers. All that one can think of expenses are the model fees, fee to the makeup artists and a cost of a very-very basic ramp, light and sound. So you can imagine the kind of money Ms Rampal is making. She’s literally hit the jackpot.

When Mehr Jesia Rampal and Arjun Rampal bagged the hugely lucrative deal of hosting Fashion Shows at post-match IPL Night parties, I guessed Rohit Bal would be the designer to showcase in the Finale bash. Why? Well I have many reasons to think Gudda would had got it because (a) Arjun Rampal whatever he is today is primarily because of Gudda, (b) Gudda is one of the stalwarts of Indian fashion and a showman apt for IPL kinda show and (c) Because Tarun Tahiliani had already done an IPL show at IPL2 in South Africa.But yet again Tarun Tahiliani is the finale designer for the IPL3 Grand Bash tomorrow, i.e the 23rd. Tarun’s aces are that Mehr Rampal and TT are very close and Lalit Modi’s wife, Minal has been a Muse of Tahiliani since long. Mind you, I am not undermining Tarun’s stature as a designer. He too is a stalwart. I am just expressing my thoughts on why Gudda didn’t do the Final Show.

Yes Gudda is unwell but Mehr Rampal finalised the list of designers much before Bal suffered that huge attack. But I was wondering it Gudda’s no-show has got to do something with the Grand Finale of WIFW spring-summer 2010?  Gudda was the Finale designer and Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor were the show-stoppers. Arjun Rampal and Dino Morea too were suppose to walk the ramp then but Arjun Rampal insisted that he’ll be the show-stopper and not Kat & Ranbir. The demand seemed too much for Wills and Gudda. Rampal fumed and walked off from the show. It was a bit too much for Arjun Rampal to demand the show-stopper when Kat and Ranbir were there. The beautiful couple were literally ruling the Bollywood Box Office then. Is Arjun Rampal settling scores? Nah, he can’t be that petty…

Folks sorry for the delay in coming out with the LISTS. I was waiting to get the names tabulated from the huge number of recommendations that I received from the readers. The LIST is compiled based on the responses I received from the readers so as to eliminate any bias.

First of all let me define a ‘Henpecked Husband’. A typical Henpecked Husband is the poor guy; he squirms under the thumb of a domineering wife, very likely a Grande Dame. Her word is law, and he can only obey, with a meek and humble, “Yes, dear.” We laugh at his misfortune, and maybe pity him a little. So based on this definition who are the Top Henpecked Husbands of 2011?

From Delhi Robbie Mohan and Amit Burman got the maximum votes.

Robbie Mohan is married to Tanisha Mohan, who is a walking-talking billboard of Luxury Brands. Tanisha definitely wears the pants in the Mohan household and we have often seen Robbie meekly surrendering to his wife’s demands. It is a common sight at Page 3 parties where you can find Robbie holding on to Tanisha’s designer bag and her drink as she floats around schmoozing the crowd. High time Robbie takes things in his hands and stop being enslaved by his better-half.

Amit Burman who runs a chain of succesful restaurants and also is the scion of the Dabur Group is in total control when it comes to running his vast business empire. At home Amit plays the second fiddle to his demanding wife, Divya Burman.

The names topping from Mumbai are that of Adi Godrej and Shahrukh Khan.

Adi Godrej of Godrej Industries may be the boss-man at his office but back home it is his wife , Parmeshwar Godrej who calls the shots. I still couldn’t get over the image of Adi holding on to the umbrella and Parmeshwar’s clutch as they walked in to the premier of Robot when it was pouring cats and dogs. From the readers I have learnt that Pam’s word is law at the Godrej household and poor Adi has to fall in the line to whatever Parmeshwar decides.

Most readers of this Blog claim that Shahrukh Khan is the most henpecked husband in the history of India. Gauri wears the pants and pockets all the money that SRK rakes in. In an interview SRK said that Gauri loves to buy things and if anything gets “used” at all she marches out an buys another expensive item right away and tosses the old one, and does this many times daily. No wonder SRK is always in a rush to make money and more money and probably that’ s the reason why he dances at weddings. Even with the Priyanka Chopra episode, Gauri gave an utlimatum to Shahrukh to stay away from her. In fact Gauri had the last laugh by inviting Priyanka to the Diwali bash and then ensuring nobody talked to her. Poor SRK was just a meek audience to all this tamasha.

The other close contenders to the Top Henpecked Husbands of 2011 were Sanjay and Shalini Passi, Arjun Rampal and Raj Kundra. I am sure you don’t need explanations for them! Sanjay Passi has no qualms of Shalini being linked up with other men. Mehr Jessia Rampal almost ruined Arjun Rampal’s friendship with SRK by openly voicing her discontent on how Arjun’s role in Ra-One was chopped by Shahrukh Khan. About Raj Kundra, well Shilpa Shetty will soon make Raj go bankrupt.

Sharukh Khan slapping Shirish Kunder, husband of almost two decade old SRK’s friend Farah Khan has literally gone viral. There is no doubt about the fact that SRK did give a tight-one on Shirish’s cheek but am not sure wether he was provoked to slap Kunder or not. I was amazed by the report that even Sanjay Dutt gave a tight-one to Shirish Kunder because Kunder had been sending lewd messgaes to Manyata. If that is true why the hell was Shirish Kunder on Sanjay Dutt’s guestlist? Would you invite the person who sends dirty messages to your wife to your party??? I won’t!

Anyways I feel SRK shouldn’t have gone ‘physical’. Stardom is a double-edged sword and a wee-bit Tweet shouldn’t have ruffled Badshah Khan to that extent that he gets physical with Shirish Kunder. SRK’s humility was one of the most loved aspect of him but sorry to say – lately I see SRK losing that humility and showing his ugly arrogant side. His constant jabs on Salman Khan, his tiff with Juhi Chawla for totally ignoring her comatose brother – Bobby, one of the brains behind Ra-One while promoting the movie, his jibes on critics who didn’t have good things to write about Ra-One, his temper flaring everytime a scribe asked him on his relation with Priyanka Chopra and his tiff (though temporary) with Mehr Jessia Rampal because she complained about Arjun Rampal not getting his due credit for Ra-One. It is like if you utter a word against SRK and you face his wrath. This is not how a superstar behaves.

And i wonder why the ‘slapgate’ happened in the loo area. I am sure you know what I am hinting at. Was it the surge of dopamine post the visit to the ‘Powder Room’ that made SRK slap Shirish Kunder??? Shahrukh Khan we loved your humble approach and it is one of the prime factors that has made you King Khan or whatever you love to call yourself. Take criticism in your strides and that is what is expected out of superstars.
